Terms and conditions

 

GENERAL RULES
You must be registered in order to assist the talks, make a presentation (oral/poster) or to attend a Workshop/Course.
The acceptance of a communication to be presented in the congress does not involve any kind of financial support.


ORAL PRESENTATION RULES
The communication of abstract acceptance will be send by July 26th, 2021.
Oral presentations should be prepared and presented in English, Portuguese or Spanish.
For oral presentation, a video must be prepared and send by August 10th 2021, to be checked by the organization committee.
The total time assigned for each platform is 12 minutes. 
The presentation should include a title slide, a slide stating the question or hypothesis to be addressed, and a slide describing the overall approach you used to address the question. A "methods" slide should be included but should never include the details of the method unless the purpose of the talk is to describe the method. The next several slides should present the results obtained, and a final slide should give the conclusions of the study.
As general style recommendations, use adequate font size large, use graphs rather than tables.


POSTER PRESENTATION RULES
The communication of abstract acceptance will be send by July 26th, 2021.
Posters must be written in English, Portuguese or Spanish.
Poster orientation should be portrait, not landscape.
In alternative to the pdf presentation, you can also prepare a short video presentation (2 min).
The proposed sections to be included in a poster are: Introduction & objectives, Materials & methods, Results & discussions, Conclusions.
Use bullets and keep text to a minimum. Use simple backgrounds; do not distract from the message. Aim for clarity and simplicity; avoid overloading the poster with excessive text and data.


ATTENDANCE TO COURSES/WORKSHOPS

You must arrive 10min before the start of the course/workshop to avoid delays in the course/workshop schedule.

CANCELLATION POLICY & REFUND

 

·       The cancelling of the registration must be done until “August 20th” by sending an email to herpetoiberico21@gmail.com with subject “Cancel registration”. The cancellation fee in 20€ that will be discounted from the amount payed. Refunds will be notified and processed within one month following the Congress.

·       No refunds will be issued after the date or in case of non-participation.

·       If, for reasons beyond the control of the Organising Committee, the Congress is cancelled, your registration fee will be refunded.

 

DATA PROTECTION

 

·        FCiências.ID and APH will process all personal data solely for registration purposes in the referred event and during its duration. FCiências.ID and APH will keep personal data without limit of time provided that protection measures as pseudonymisation, full data anonymisation or encryption are taken in order to cease having nature of personal data in compliance with data protection laws and regulations according to EU GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations).
